The California-based company is launching a solution to automate environmental sample collection and analysis for life science manufacturing

Veeva Systems has unveiled a new cloud-based environmental monitoring application designed to streamline quality control across manufacturing operations for global life sciences industries.

The solution, part of Veeva Quality Cloud, is integrated with Veeva LIMS and aims to automate environmental sample collection, scheduling and analysis to support Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance and internal sterility standards.

Who uses Veeva’s platform?

The California-based cloud-software and data company provides cloud-native applications for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life science companies.

This helps companies manage regulated data, oversee supply chains, support regulatory registrations and ensure quality and compliance across R&D, clinical, and manufacturing operations.

The platform is used by companies such as Bayer, Eli Lilly and Company, Gilead Sciences, Merck & Co., Novartis, AstraZeneca, Pfizer and more.

Benefits of the new application

By linking environmental monitoring with Veeva’s broader suite of quality applications, the platform eliminates paper-based processes and data silos that can slow batch release.

Users can automatically trigger quality events in Veeva QMS, access procedures from Veeva QualityDocs, and publish critical monitoring data to Veeva Batch Release, helping to optimise the release workflow.

“By continuing to remove layers of legacy technology, we can enable a seamless process across quality control, micro labs, and batch release,” said Mike Jovanis, President of Veeva Quality Cloud.

The solution is expected to be available in December 2026.
