Strengthens its modular construction business

Telstar Group, a manufacturer of modular laboratories headquartered in Spain, is to become a major shareholder in Pharmadule Oü of Estonia, strengthening its modular construction business in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. Financial terms have not been revealed.

Pharmadule Oü was the modular manufacturing facility of the Pharmadule Group before the recent bankruptcy of its parent Pharmadule AB of Sweden.

Located in Tallinn, Pharmadule Oü was founded in 2005 and has 6 years of experience in manufacturing for customers including Teva Sicor, Eli Lilly and Merck. The management team acquired the company after the collapse of Pharmadule AB.

Telstar will combine KeyPlants’ design and engineering knowledge with Pharmadule Oü’s manufacturing expertise, consolidating its design and engineering strength, process knowledge, manufacturing and implementation capabilities for building pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical facilities using modular technology.

In May 2011, KeyPlants, ModWave and Yonkers Industries established ModularPartners. Telstar, as a KeyPlants’ partner, takes an active part in this project.

ModularPartners was formed to supply modular and hybrid solutions to the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries in North America and beyond. Pharmadule Oü is a key partner to ModularPartners.

Pharmadule Oü offers manufacturing and assembly of modular solutions for the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, chemical and food industries together with certified welding of process piping in respective areas.
