Telstar has taken control of 100% of its subsidiary in Mexico after signing a purchase execution contract with the company Bicor Technologies, to date a minority holding partner with 49% of the company’s participation.
As a wholly owned subsidiary in Mexico, Telstar consolidates its position in the American market and allows the company to take a major step in the Latin American market. Mexico is today one of the fastest-growing emerging economies.
After Brazil, where Telstar is also actively present, Mexico is today the second largest pharmaceutical market in the Central and Southern American regions and the eighth medical devices producer in the world, besides being also a significant high-tech drug manufacturer.

Mexico is a strategic market in the field of the Life Sciences sector with solid growth potential, where renowned international pharmaceutical companies operate increasingly through direct presence in this region. According to the Pharmaceutical Research Industry Mexican Association (AMIIF), at national level, annual growth of 4.7% is expected until 2025.
Telstar history
Located in Mexico City, Telstar’s subsidiary was founded in 2010 to offer integrated process equipment & services for sterilisation, lyophilisation, containment and aseptic and clean air technologies for the pharmaceutical, biotechnological and veterinary market in Mexico and Central America, besides an active after-sales service particularly consolidated in Mexico City and Guadalajara.
Since 2020, Telstar Mexico has incorporated conceptual, basic and detailed engineering services in the field of pharmaceutical forms: oral solids, liquids, injectable liquids, hormonal, oncological and vaccines. From Telstar México, the company covers a growing demand from Latin American markets, particularly the Mexican domestic market.
Sergi Escorihuela, Telstar’s Mexican subsidiary General Manager, points out that “this operation will allow us to expand our activity in other regions of Mexico, where the pharmaceutical sector is growing, and consolidate and strengthen the areas in which we are already present with better service and response to our clients.”
The Telstar brand is now represented in the American continent by three specialised centres in Brazil, Mexico, and the United States.
