Tailored ISO-classified cleanroom delivers precision and performance for high-tech applications

Airkey, a cleanroom expert based in China, takes pride in delivering high-performance cleanroom solutions tailored to our clients' needs. Our latest modular cleanroom project for our client in the Netherlands is a proving example. Designed specifically for the delicate process of laser head repair and maintenance, the cleanroom features:

Robust construction: Aluminum alloy frames and high-quality sandwich panel walls, ensuring durability and airtightness by flush mounting.

ISO-classified zones: An ISO 5 (Class 100) main production room and ISO 7 (Class 10,000) change room and storage room, providing controlled environments for critical processes.

Natural light integration: Two large double-glazed windows, matching the building’s architectural design, allow ample natural light while maintaining cleanliness—enhancing both functionality and workspace aesthetics.

Specifically, the newly constructed cleanroom incorporates several unique elements:

1. Incorporates several unique elements:
To optimize air purity and energy savings, the cleanroom is equipped with:

  • Recirculating fan filter units (FFUs): Installed in ceiling grids to continuously filter and recirculate clean air.
  • Cassette split air conditioner: Works in tandem with the FFUs to regulate temperature and airflow efficiently, reducing energy consumption.
  • Combined system achieves 30% energy savings compared to conventional designs.

2. Customized material transfer solution:
A key feature of this cleanroom is the large air shower pass box, custom-designed to accommodate the client’s specific material size requirements. The pass box includes:

  • Double-door interlocking system: Ensures contamination-free transfer between zones.
  • HEPA-filtered air shower: High-velocity HEPA filtration removes 99.99% of particles ≥0.3μm from materials before entry into the controlled environment.
  • Stainless steel workspace: Provides durability and easy maintenance for long-term reliability.
