Zenith reports significant growth and further international expansion opportunities
Revenue increases by 15% to £49.1m for the year to 28 February 2015
Zenith Hygiene Group, the UK’s largest independent manufacturer of cleaning and hygiene products to industrial and institutional markets, reported a 15% increase in revenue to £49.1m and 36% rise in EBITDA to £3.27m for the full year ended 28 February 2015. The company says this is its fifth consecutive year of profitable growth and reflects both domestic and export sales.
Trading in H1 is also expected to be ahead of previous forecasts due to a strong performance from the new business team and the continued expansion of a number of existing customers’ businesses.
The benefits and synergies of the integration of Advance Cleaning and Hygiene Supplies Limited acquired in April are beginning to come through. In addition, E-Hygiene Systems, purchased in June 2013, contributed more than £1m to revenue.
Ringo Francis, Zenith's Chief Executive, said the growth is founded on good customer service and competitive prices.
'I am pleased with our progress in the healthcare, facilities management and food processing sectors to date. I am proud that this expansion has enabled Zenith to service hospitals and care homes,' he said.
'With regard to the future, international expansion is an exciting venture for us. Supporting our ever increasing number of large international companies is a focus that I am involved in directly. Our progress so far has resulted in establishing Zenith in a number of countries with the view to expanding Zenith’s presence in additional countries in the next financial year.
'Our strategy remains one of growth and expansion, both organically in the UK and internationally and to continue to seek out value enhancing acquisitions as the opportunities arise.'
