Zenith Hygiene Group reports strong H1 sales growth
Company is confident about the outlook for the second half of the trading year
Zenith Hygiene Group, the UK’s largest integrated, independent manufacturer, supplier and distributor of cleaning and hygiene chemicals and products, saw its revenue increase by 20.1% in the six months ended 31 August 2016 to £31.5m from £26.2m in the first half of 2015). In the same period EBITDA was up 29.1% to £2.68m from £2.08m and pre-tax profits rose by 95.1% driven by improved efficiencies and scale.
The company has recently completed several acquisitions in the period, consolidating its sector expertise and market position while expanding its client offering. In June it acquired Riverside Hygiene Supplies, a local hygiene service provider, and ABC Hygiene, now rebranded as Zenith washroom solutions. In the same month it also took over CCL Pentasol, providing the group with greater access to the food and beverage manufacturing sector as well as water treatment services; then in August it purchased Cater-Lyne, a similar company based in Yorkshire.
The positive trends experienced in the period ended 31 August 2016 have continued into the second half of the financial year, according to the Chairman, Lord Stanley Fink. 'Zenith Hygiene continues to go from strength to strength. The acquisitions we have made over the last six-month period will further cement our position as the partner of choice for our customers and target markets,' he said.
'The integration process is underway with many of the businesses integrated within the Zenith Hygiene portfolio of companies, contributing to the strength of the Group. We have welcomed a number of new colleagues with strong expertise in core markets for us and we are very excited by the growth prospects ahead of us.'
