Nowadays everything has to be mobile, from services to manufacturing. This trend has not excluded cleanrooms. If a cleanroom is required in a remote location or manufacturing capacity needs to be expanded quickly, mobile cleanrooms can provide an affordable and quick solution. They also provide an efficient solution to permanent cleanrooms when clients are unable to wait for a cleanroom to be built.
So how do they work?
They work very similarly to standard cleanrooms, only an adequate power source is required for energy supply. The portable cleanrooms are usually built into a standard 20’ or 40’ HC container with standard attachment points so that these units can be transported by boat or on the road.
What standards do they comply with?
Portable cleanrooms can comply with different ISO, such as ISO14644, or GMP standards. Most frequently they have an ISO07 or ISO08 certification, providing an optimal level of cleanliness for most tasks.
What applications can they be used for?
Whether it be for biological, military or medical applications, mobile cleanrooms are highly customisable. They do not have a standard interior design, they are always designed to fit the specific needs of the client. Cleanrooms can be equipped with an IT internal network, a camera system or a sterile wash basin. To elevate the standard level of cleanliness, a biological ULPA filtration can be added along with a supply of recirculated air above the standard air exchange.
