Paragon Medical, a global leader in medical device manufacturing, is proud to announce the completion of its recent expansion for a Class 7 cleanroom. Situated on the company’s existing campus in Mansfield, MA, this addition provides over 1,600 square feet of space dedicated to cleanroom assembly and packaging.
A Class 7 cleanroom is a controlled environment that meets cleanliness standards for manufacturing medical devices. ISO 7 cleanrooms are utilised in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, nanotechnology, compounding, and various clean-tech manufacturing applications such as ion lithium battery, solar, medical device, packaging, nutraceuticals, and certain packaged foods. It is equipped with specialised air filtration systems to remove particles and contaminants from the air. Cleanrooms also have strict procedures in place to prevent cross-contamination.
Lorenzo Vaccarella, Director of New Product Development, shares what this expansion means for Paragon Medical and its customers, stating, “Our new cleanroom allows Paragon Medical’s Mansfield campus to increase its production capacity by retaining our current existing customer base and serving new customers, all in an effort to maintain our competitive edge. This addition enables our Mansfield campus to provide customers with five class 8 cleanrooms and two class 7 cleanrooms in total.”
