Laminar airflow hood has become increasingly important and widely applied in pharmaceutical compounding industries where product quality and safety are top priority and such process should be completed in a dust-free and sterile space

Over the past few years, we have manufactured more and more laminar airflow hoods for customers from all over the world, mostly for pharmaceutical compounding. With laminar airflow hood, a partial clean zone in ISO 5 class can be created in a cost effective way, which is why their demands are getting higher.

Today, we want to introduce the laminar airflow we built for liquid filling process in pharmaceutical process which normally needs ISO 5 clean class. For this plant, the filling process used to be conducted in ISO 7 cleanroom and needs to be upgraded to ISO 5 according to local regulation. Laminar airflow is the perfect solution instead of upgrading the whole cleanroom. This laminar airflow hood is custom made according to the size of filling machines, to provide uniform vertical airflow into the work area, minimising the risk of contamination.

In compliance with industry norms and requirements, high quality SS304 housing is selected, which is solid, durable, and easy-to-clean, minimising the contamination to clean space. In addition, Laminar airflow hood is enclosed and isolated by PVC curtains to prevent pollutants from entering into LAF.

Laminar airflow hood has PAO test ports. To ensure quality and relieve our customers of concerns, we will conduct integrity test before delivery with AIT aerosol generator and photometer to ensure leakage rate <0.01%. In the meanwhile, we will also measure and test other parameters such as air velocity at 0.3-0.6m/s, illuminance more than 300 lux, and clean class in ISO 5.
