Just — Evotec has launched J.TRAIN, a turnkey manufacturing platform that enables biopharmaceutical companies to deploy the company's proprietary continuous biologics manufacturing technology within their own facilities.
Announced on 30 June, the platform combines prefabricated modular cleanrooms, industry-standard manufacturing equipment and cGMP-compliant process automation into a turnkey system.
The platform enables biopharmaceutical companies to establish continuous biologics manufacturing capacity more quickly than with conventional facility construction.
Designed as a technology licensing and partner-enablement model, J.TRAIN allows manufacturers to install Just — Evotec's continuous manufacturing platform on-site while retaining ownership of their facilities.
The company says the approach supports higher productivity and greater operational flexibility than traditional fed-batch biologics manufacturing.
The J.TRAIN installation can be deployed in approximately 18 months.
The modular manufacturing concept is designed to produce more than 500kg of biologic drug substance from less than 10,000 sqft of cleanroom space, while supporting rapid product changeovers and multi-product manufacturing.
The offering incorporates proprietary automation software for continuous process control alongside digital validation, documentation and training protocols intended to streamline implementation and support regulatory readiness.
J.TRAIN was first introduced at INTERPHEX 2026 and represents an expansion of Just – Evotec Biologics' strategy to make its continuous manufacturing technology available beyond its own production network through turnkey deployment in customer facilities.
“J.TRAIN is a disruptive opportunity for industry to increase capacity and manufacture biologics at reduced costs and improved productivity, with deployment in as little as 18 months,” said Linda Zuckerman, EVP and Global Head of Just – Evotec Biologics.
