Alexa Hornbeck is a science reporter at HPCi Media, writing for Cleanroom Technology and Building Better Healthcare. She brings clarity to complex healthcare and cleanroom innovation, turning technical expertise into engaging stories for industry professionals worldwide.

With over seven years of health reporting experience, Alexa has covered topics ranging from telemedicine, drug pricing reform, AI in healthcare, and maternal health. She was previously a congressional health reporter for The Well News, and worked as an investigative journalist for The New York Times covering the COVID-19 pandemic.

She holds dual master’s degrees in journalism and public health from UC Berkeley and a BA in literary studies from The New School.

Alexa is based in London, where she enjoys attending poetry workshops, going to art galleries and travelling.
