VC Engineering has completed the design and build of an ISO Class 8 cleanroom in Selangor, Malaysia.
The project brought together cleanroom architectural works, mechanical and electrical (M&E) installations, and extra-low-voltage (ELV) systems under a coordinated delivery scope.
The Malaysian engineering company was responsible for integrating the different building and environmental control systems required for the controlled environment.
The project included the installation of cleanroom wall and ceiling panels, alongside speed and personnel doors.
Electrical works covered motor control centre (MCC) and distribution board (DB) panels, general electrical installations, and cleanroom lighting and emergency systems.
Mechanical installations comprised air handling units (AHUs) and associated ducting, while door interlocking systems were also incorporated into the facility.
According to VC Engineering, coordinating the different engineering disciplines was a key part of the project, ensuring the architectural, mechanical and electrical components were integrated during installation.
The company said the completed facility was designed to meet the client's operational requirements, although it did not disclose the client, the cleanroom's intended application, its size or the project value.
VC Engineering provides cleanroom design-and-build and turnkey construction services, covering engineering, architecture and installation.
The company says it has completed more than 1,000 projects.
