Acoustic Booths for Iceland - a quiet and clean solution by Airkey

It is universally known that particle control is the core concern of cleanrooms. It has been and will always been and will always be the top priority of cleanrooms. However, we are hearing higher and higher invoices regarding noise control in the workplace. As a matter of fact, we have an increasing number of customers asking for silent booths in order to create a noise-free environment for their staff.

We are pleased to share the details of our latest silent booth project for a customer in Iceland who makes it a top priority to provide a comfortable, noise-free meeting space for their staff. The silent booths can block about 35dB of noise and also maintain an ISO 8 clean class, with good ventilation inside the booths.

Key features of the Acoustic Booths

1. Advanced soundproofing technology

The Acoustic Booth is made of 38mm thick double-layer aluminum honeycomb panel. The surface of the aluminum plate is pasted with high-density damping sound insulation films to meet the requirements of sound insulation. The interior decoration is matched with acoustic materials to meet the requirements of the acoustic environment.

2. ISO 8 Class air filtration

The ventilation system of the silent booth is equipped with air filters to control particulate matter, ensuring the booths maintain an ISO Class 8 cleanroom environment. This feature is particularly beneficial for industries where both noise control and air quality are critical, such as electronics manufacturing, laboratories, and precision engineering.

3. Low noise ventilation system

We made a multiple sound barrier for the ventilation tunnel to lower the noise of the ventilation fan, meanwhile, the sound barrier can also reduce much of the sound transmission. The air in the booth can be circulated in 2 minutes, to ensure it won't be stuffy in the booth. In addition, the blower applied in the ventilation system is with a DC motor, to lower the noise and save energy consumption.

4. Modular and mobile structures

The soundproof booths are prefabricated in the factory for easy and quick installation. Silent booth structure consists of supporting frame made from aerospace-grade aluminium profiles, which are all pre-cut and handled before shipment. Besides, at the bottom of the soundproof pods there are wheels for the pods to move around.
