SRBA Group has reorganised its operations into three independent companies: SRBA Construction, SRBA Interior and Brecon Cleanroom Systems.
The move by the controlled environment specialist based in the Netherlands will allow each business unit greater operational autonomy, sharper strategic focus and the ability to pursue tailored growth trajectories in their respective markets.
"The dynamics in various markets demand a distinct course and focus," stated the SRBA Group Executive Board.
Founded three years ago through the merger of Brecon and Muller Afbouw Groep, SRBA Group had already structured itself internally around three core business areas: finishing and facility services, custom interiors and modular build-outs, and controlled environments including cleanrooms and laboratories.
Now, SRBA Group has formalised the division as separate entities, focused on the following:
- SRBA Construction: Concentrating on finishing works, maintenance and larger utility construction projects in the Netherlands.
- SRBA Interior: Focused on product innovation, expanding into broader interior markets, and reinforcing its position in bespoke interior systems and modular solutions.
- Brecon Cleanroom Systems: Formerly SRBA’s Controlled Environment division, the cleanroom business now returns to the Brecon brand, a name with three decades of industry reputation in high-quality cleanroom and laboratory design, realisation, furnishing and maintenance. It will continue to serve the high-tech and life sciences sectors with turnkey controlled environment solutions both domestically and internationally.
New acquisition to boost Brecon’s return
Having Brecon Cleanroom Systems as a standalone cleanroom entity also leverages international growth achieved in 2024.
Notably, this growth happened through an acquisition of a 60% majority stake in Corporate Construction, a Connecticut-based cleanroom builder that serves the US market.
SRBA Group, operating as three different independent companies, now has the freedom to pursue tailored investment, business development and operational strategies that align with its core capabilities and market drivers.
The demerger will also allow all three entities to develop their own identity, strategy and growth path, while SRBA Group shareholders will still remain involved in all companies.
Last year, the former SRBA Controlled Environment demonstrated expertise with the successful completion of a new ISO Class 6 and 7 cleanroom at high-tech manufacturer KMWE’s 3D printing and repair facility.
The modular, energy-efficient space, built in partnership with ABN Cleanroom Technology, emphasises flexibility and sustainable design.
