RPM Micro Solutions has started construction of a new 2,500 sqft cleanroom at its manufacturing facility in Leominster, Massachusetts, US.
The Massachusetts-based contract manufacturer specialises in micro-moulded components for medical devices, including catheter components, drug-delivery systems and bioabsorbable implants.
The project is part of the company’s investment in expanding its manufacturing capabilities and will provide additional controlled-environment space for customers requiring high-precision manufacturing.
Construction is now underway inside the existing manufacturing facility, with framing and wall installation progressing as the open manufacturing floor is converted into the dedicated cleanroom.
RPM Micro Solutions said the new facility will expand its ability to support customers with manufacturing requirements that require controlled environmental conditions.
The company described the cleanroom as a significant investment in its manufacturing operations and said it will be brought into use once construction is complete.
No further details on the cleanroom’s classification, environmental specifications, contractor or expected completion date have been announced.
