New generation of dust cleaning unveiled
US company Scientific Dust Collectors (SDC) in Illinois, has launched what it claims is the next generation of generation of nozzle cleaning technology for reverse pulse jet dust collectors.
Key to the design is the patented technology, which provides more induced cleaning air into the filter media than any other system available.
Previous nozzle designs provided a significant 40% increase in cleaning flow when compared to generic venturi-based cleaning systems. The improved nozzle design is claimed to add an additional 12% cleaning flow into the media for enhanced filter cleaning and better filter performance, providing longer filter life with less media.
Special nozzle designs also allow for SDC’s collectors to operate successfully at lower compressed air rates, thus saving compressed air usage.
SDC has used nozzle-based cleaning systems for reverse pulse jet collectors in the manufacturing industry for more than 27 years.
