Kelray has completed the installation of a new cleanroom facility for a first-time customer, delivering a multidisciplinary project incorporating cleanroom construction, flooring, mechanical services and electrical infrastructure.
The project involved the construction of a new cleanroom using 100mm hygienic wall panels, including removable sections and panels extending to heights of up to 8 metres.
Wales-based Kelray also installed new garment and transfer rooms, alongside hygienic doors, Perspex windows, flashings and a suspended ceiling.
The cleanroom installation included floor preparation and the application of a durable, high-build epoxy coating.
As part of the mechanical works, approximately 195 metres of Class E PVC flow-and-return pipework was installed.
The electrical scope included new distribution boards, containment, three-phase machinery supplies, LED lighting and emergency lighting.
According to Kelray, the project required coordination across multiple trades, with planning focused on hygiene, safety and quality requirements throughout the installation.
The company said the completed facility is now ready to support the customer's operations.
The project was delivered by Kelray alongside specialist contractors and the customer's representatives.
