GCS scales up cleanroom panel production with automated line

The recently rebranded G-CON Clean Solutions has opened a manufacturing line to supply over 2 million sqft of cleanroom panelling annually

GCS has launched an automated cleanroom panel manufacturing line.

G-CON Clean Solutions, the G-CON Manufacturing portfolio, was launched in 2022 through the acquisition of Panelco/Plasteurop. The new segment means that the company is now able to manufacture and supply its own cleanroom wall panels, ceiling systems, doors and other cleanroom components.

In 2024, the company announced that the business will now be called GCS Controlled Environment Experts, with new branding that combines elements of both the historic G-CON and Plasteurop brands.

The new automated line expands the existing GCS US manufacturing capability for custom panels and cleanroom doors which was established in 2024. With this launch, GCS has the capacity to produce over 2 million sqft of cleanroom panelling annually, supporting accelerated project timelines and precision manufacturing across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor, and advanced manufacturing industries.

Located within a 265,000 sqft facility, this new production line represents one of the largest of its kind in the US and marks a major leap forward in scalable, high-performance cleanroom manufacturing.

This launch further strengthens GCS's role in delivering modular, flexible, and compliant cleanroom systems

"It is incredibly rewarding to see our investment and hard work come to life through the launch of this new automated line," said Stephen Griffiths, Global VP of Business Development at GCS. "We are proud to introduce this first-of-its-kind technology to the US, delivering best-in-class throughput and repeatability to the cleanroom panel market.

"Most of all, we are proud of the teams who made this possible—enabling us to offer a fully integrated GCS system, made in America."

The facility integrates automation and engineering to deliver cleanroom panels that meet the most stringent standards. This launch further strengthens GCS's role in delivering modular, flexible, and compliant cleanroom systems, and supports the broader mission to advance offsite construction for high-growth sectors.

In July this year, GCS also opened a new modular cleanroom showroom in Pennsylvania.

The new facility enables visitors to walk through a full-scale cleanroom installation, examine material and design options, and consult with technical experts to explore how modular systems can streamline cleanroom construction processes.
