FTS Cleanrooms has completed a 14,000 sqm turnkey manufacturing facility for Himalaya in Dubai Internet City, with the project designed to support both pharmaceutical and cosmetic production.
The company is based in UAE and offers start-to-finish engineering solutions to the healthcare sector in the MENA region, while Himalaya is a global herbal health and personal care brand.
FTS delivered the facility within a year, managing the project from design through construction, installation, commissioning and validation under a single-contractor model.
The facility incorporates controlled production environments for operations requiring different ISO classifications, contamination-control measures and equipment specifications.
According to FTS Cleanrooms, retaining the same project team throughout the project was intended to provide continuity between the design, installation and validation stages and reduce coordination requirements between multiple contractors.
The company said the approach enabled the project to be completed within the planned timeframe of less than a year.
FTS Cleanrooms said an integrated approach to the build allowed the design, installation and validation to be managed under a single delivery structure.
The facility forms part of Himalaya's manufacturing operations in Dubai, providing cleanroom infrastructure for the production of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.
