Ardmac has expanded its European operations with the launch of Ardmac Iberia, a new Madrid-based business unit established to support projects across Spain and the wider Iberian Peninsula.
According to Ardmac, the new operation will provide dedicated regional capability, combining local expertise with the company’s international delivery experience in mission-critical and high-tech environments.
“Establishing a permanent presence in Madrid allows us to work even more closely with clients and project partners across Spain and the wider Iberian region,” said José Luis Borrallo, Manager of Ardmac Iberia.
Ardmac, part of the Purever Group, specialises in the turnkey delivery of controlled environments for sectors including life sciences, data centres, microelectronics, EV battery manufacturing, aerospace and defence.
Spain has emerged as a key location for data centre development due to its strategic position as a connectivity hub linking Europe, Africa and Latin America.
The country has attracted significant investment from hyperscale operators and digital infrastructure providers seeking to expand capacity in southern Europe.
The company has delivered more than 400,000 sqm of operational space and over 600MW of completed data centre capacity across Europe.
That figure includes modular data centres and specialist architectural fit-out projects.
The company’s delivery model integrates design, off-site manufacturing and construction services, with Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) forming a central part of its approach.
Manufacturing facilities across Europe, the UK and the US support the delivery of scalable solutions tailored to project requirements.
The establishment of Ardmac Iberia is intended to facilitate earlier engagement with clients, consultants, regulators and supply chain partners during project planning and pre-construction phases.
The approach can support constructability, programme certainty and risk management on complex projects.
Ardmac also highlighted its use of digital construction technologies, real-time project data and artificial intelligence to support project delivery and coordination throughout the construction lifecycle.
