Vivapac offers wrinkle-free packs

Maruani has introduced the new Vivapac SP machine, a four-sided-seal packaging system which can now deliver "crease and wrinkle-free packs" for products up to 25mm deep.

The Vivapac series of machines now comprises three variants, as well as a wide width option. Maruani says the machines allow manufacturers to minimise packaging material use while guaranteeing sterility and improving pack appearance. The systems are said to be fully compatible with all thermal and cold sealing materials and options allow for different pack and printing configurations. Pack length is software-controlled and can be "changed in seconds", as can pack width. Typical production rate is 20 cycles/min. The Vivapac range is marketed in the UK and Ireland by Medical Engineering Technologies.
