Instrumentation specialist TSI Instruments has launched the TSI Model 8375 Modular Air Balancing Tool. The versatile HVAC testing device, designed for the industrial hygiene professional, features a multi-purpose digital manometer that can be used with a variety of common test and balance tools, including capture hood; relative humidity and temperature probe; air flow probe; pitot probe; static pressure probes and velocity matrix.

The optional velocity matrix provides fast readings of 16 measuring points simultaneously, making it suitable for a wide variety of measurements in fume hoods, biological safety cabinets and HVAC systems. The AccuBalance capture hood base assembly is light (3.5kg) and ergonomically designed, facilitating over-the-head measurements. The Model 8375's meter is easily attachable to and detachable from the AccuBalance base assembly, and can be used with various accessories to perform a wide variety of measurements: air temperature; relative humidity; differential pressure; static pressure; air velocity or volume; and lab hood face velocities.
