Pharmaceutical manufacturer Farmak International has completed the construction of a new sterile medicines production facility in Barberà del Vallès, Barcelona.
Telstar, a Spain-based engineering firm, was responsible for overseeing the entire build process, from conceptual design to detailed engineering and construction.
The facility is a 2,500 sqm complex that integrates cutting-edge production floors, R&D laboratories, and warehouse spaces that were also designed with future automation in mind.

The core area of the facility spans 1,800 sqm and is built atop three pre-existing buildings. The core area also features a 13-metre-high ceiling, which allows for scalable growth.
The mezzanine-level production area is equipped with advanced HVAC systems, clean utilities, and specialised air handling units, ensuring optimal conditions for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The site also includes microbiological and analytical laboratories, R&D spaces, logistics, packaging, and cold storage areas for finished products.
