TBA gaskets meet new directive
EMI shielding specialist, TBA Electro Conductive Products (ECP) has announced that its range of soft foam gaskets for EMI shielding meets the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS Directive).
The directive bans the use of certain substances in new products from July 2006, specifically lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
TBA ECP's range of fabric over foam gaskets contain none of the banned substances and fully meet RoHS directive requirements.
Comprising a polyurethane foam core with highly conductive fabric coatings, the gaskets are available in a wide variety of shapes and thicknesses from commonly used rectangular and D-shape to specialist shapes such as folding leaf (FL) and double-D shape. TBA ECP can also provide gaskets in custom shapes and sizes to meet specific requirements.
TBA ECP also offers a range of conductive EMI shielding LCD cushions and a range of gold plated gaskets that offer excellent abrasion resistance and anti-oxidisation.
