Steris closes Cosmed agreement

Steris Corporation has completed an agreement to acquire certain assets of Cosmed Group, a privately-held contract sterilisation services provider with corporate offices in Jamestown, Rhode Island, in the US. Under the terms of the agreement, Steris has acquired all five of Cosmed's medical device sterilisation locations for US$73m and plans to integrate them into its Isomedix Services segment, which provides contract sterilisation services to medical supply, consumer and industrial customers.
