Servoflo launches new pressure sensor line
Servoflo Corporation has launched a new range of pressure sensor lines designed to offer improved performance to the manufacturing community.
Made in Massachusetts, the Alpha Instruments pressure sensor line offers capacitance based pressure sensors, which measure 0.10 in. to 100 in. of water column. All models have a bi-directional version, making them well suited for applications where two directions of pressure need to be measured. Typical applications include HVAC applications, duct measurement, clean room control, fume hoods, critical containment enclosures, isolation rooms, and other building management applications.
The Alpha Instrument sensors come in a variety of package styles, include PC board mount, NEMA 1, NEMA 4, and din rail mounting type. Outputs of the sensors include 0-5V, 0-10V, or 4-20 mA. In the voltage version, true zero can be achieved. Some units can be temperature-compensated to 0.01% of full-scale per degree F, a key advantage for requiring accuracy over temperature. The accuracy varies from 2% to 0.25% at room temperature. Alpha Instruments has a unique calibration method, which allows users to have special pressure ranges for certain applications. For example, it is possible to create a range of -0.5 in. water column to +3.5 in. water column.
At 250 pieces, the price ranges from $90 (€63) to $150 (€106) each depending on the model and accuracy. With a 15 PSI overpressure, the Alpha Instruments line not only offers flexibility in their usage, but also ruggedness and reliability over the competition. All models meet CE and RoHS conformance requirements.
