Parker Bioscience Filtration has appointed Guy Matthews to lead its marketing teams across the biopharmaceutical, food and beverage, and infection control markets.
Matthews, previously Global Market Development Manager at Parker Bioscience Filtration, has now taken up the role of Division Marketing Manager and will be responsible for driving growth across the business. He is based at Parker Bioscience Filtration’s site in Birtley, UK.
Prior to joining Parker Bioscience Filtration, Matthews held a senior sales development role at a major global healthcare technologies provider. His previous positions include a technical manager post at a global cell culture media supplier and a senior applications specialist role at a global filtration company.
Kris Holmes, General Manager of Parker Bioscience Filtration, added: “Guy has been a key member of the Parker Bioscience Filtration team since he joined us as Global Market Development Manager and has brought a great deal of expertise to our operations. In his new role he will play an important part in driving our business strategy forward, drawing on his extensive technical knowledge and deep understanding of our markets.”
Parker Bioscience Filtration, part of Parker Hannifin, designs, supplies and delivers systems for both upstream and downstream pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing, and provides integrated bioprocessing solutions that speed up development times and increase efficiency and safety to enable reproducible quality.
Incorporating the expertise from the now Parker owned brands of SciLog and domnick hunter, Parker Bioscience Filtration combines filtration, single-use fluid-handling systems and sensors into automated single-use solutions.
“The recent investment in our Birtley site has further enhanced our ability to serve the global biopharmaceutical and food and beverage sectors – and it’s therefore very exciting to be taking up the role of Division Marketing Manager at this stage," said Matthews. "I’m looking forward to helping Parker Bioscience Filtration make ever closer connections with our customers and driving product solutions which will have a major impact on their operations," he concluded.
