Owen Mumford, a UK medical device and disposables specialist, has announced a new Global Marketing Team led by Richard Simmonds, who becomes Head of Global Marketing. He will report to Sales and Marketing Director Richard Thomas with effect from 1 July.
This is a promotion for Simmonds and follows on from his success as General Manager of the ING (International Non-Group) Business Unit, which is responsible for international business development and managing the company’s network of distributors.
The new Global Marketing team will work closely with the company’s international Sales and Marketing groups as well as the OEM business.
In addition, Owen Mumford has restructured its global business activities with five new regional management structures put in place, also effective from 1 July, to grow the business in both the company’s direct markets (US, UK, France, Germany and China where they already have sales offices) and territories where the company operates through distributors.
The five new regions will be known as: The Americas (AM), Northern Europe (NE), Central & Eastern Europe (CEE), Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa (SEMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC).
‘The company’s investment in global strategic marketing underlines our commitment to opening up new markets and business segments worldwide,’ said Richard Thomas.
