The winners of the awards covering all aspects of lab design, management and use will be announced at the joint S-Lab/UKSPA event in York, in May 2017
S-Lab has announced its main event in 2017 will be a two-day conference and exhibition in York, UK, co-organised by the UK Science Park Association (UKSPA) and S-Lab: Supporting World Class Science.
The event includes a Gala Dinner on May 9 that will feature presentations to the winners of both the S-Lab and UKSPA Awards.
The conference brings together a range of key stakeholders in the design, financing, managing and operation of science research, science start-up incubation and innovation facilities.
The attendees will include research, estates, technical management, procurement and other staff that have significant influence on procurement of buildings, equipment and services.
This will be the main 2017 event for the joint organisers, which this year is also being supported by four programme partners: The International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation, Innovation DB Forum, Praxis Unico and York Science Park.
The S-Lab Awards is the only scheme covering all aspects of laboratory design, management and use.
The UKSPA Awards recognise good practice in the management and impact of science parks and similar facilities.
The deadline for stage 1 of the awards (completion of the entry form) is Dec 9 2016 and deadline for stage 2 (detailed entry) is 25 January.
