New pump offers biopharmaceutical benefits

Axflow has launched a new design utilising advanced air operated double diaphragm pump (AODD) technology that aims to olve problems associated with biopharmaceutical processing.

The Wilden-Unitec UB pump, also know as the Biocor, is designed to meet critical process requirements “out of the box”. These include high purity, high polish, traceable materials with 3-A and EHEDG certifications as well as certifiable elastomers with appropriate FDA and USP class VI approvals.

The pumps are in the same class as other hygienic pumps that have biopharmaceutical certifications for clean in place (CIP) and steam in place (SIP) duty.
