New hygiene feature for guided radar device
An easy-to-clean electropolished surface has been incorporated into the design of the new Levelflex M FMP43 guided radar device from the process automation company Endress + Hauser.
The new addition means the device, which is used to measure process conditions in the life science sector, performs to Ra=0.38um in compliance with ASME BPE and offers users accessibility to continuous level measurement in hygiene-critical applications.
The device provides measurement independent of process conditions such as density, conductivity, temperature changes (CIP/SIP), product foaming and even use of spray balls. Also, it features a stainless steel probe and elastomer seals, there’s no probe discolouration, diffusion or undetected gaps.
Designed for simplicity, the transmitter housing is detachable from the probe so that it can be calibrated inline using the dedicated Calibration-Kit. The probe can be sealed with a protective cover for autoclave sterilisation.
