Millipore has announced the availability of its ProSep-vA Ultra affinity chromatography media for the capture and purification of today's high titer antibodies. With high binding capacity at high flow rates, the ProSep-vA Ultra media provides maximum throughput and productivity. Millipore's ProSep-vA Ultra media optimises the same immobilisation chemistry as the company's ProSep-A High Capacity media, currently used in the manufacture of several licensed monoclonal therapeutic antibodies. This proven technology applied on a controlled pore glass (CPG) base matrix with smaller pore size, offers increased surface area and higher dynamic capacity. As a result, the new media provides improved process economics and greater process design flexibility.
