Long-range static control system

Fraser Anti–Static, the UK manufacturer of static control equipment, will be on stand 11104 to discuss ways of overcoming problems of static in the process and packaging industries. The company will introduce its redeveloped long-range static elimination system Ionstorm, which is said to be even more powerful with greater static neutralisation performance and control.

One of the main problems with static is that it can attract dust and other undesirable particles to the surface of products. The Ionstorm 3700 Controller and 3850 Bar provide long-range performance for many applications, including those in cleanrooms and medical and pharmaceutical processes. By neutralising the static electricity it can improve productivity and eliminate dust and shocks to operators. The Controller allows manufacturers to regulate the range of static neutralisation from a distance of 250mm to more than one metre from the object. The polarity and strength of the ionised emission can also be adjusted, while settings can be locked to prevent unauthorised tampering. Other standard features are remote operation via a DIN connector and a local and remote alarm. The 3700 Controller can be powered by mains electricity or by 24V DC.
