LG International claims labelling first
LG International (LGI) has launched what it is claiming to be the first on-demand label printing solution that is certified for cleanroom usage.
Able to print linear and 2D barcodes, text, numbers, and graphic images at a rate of up to six inches per second, the labels can be made using a wide variety of media sizes and types, and by thermal transfer and direct thermal printing.
“We can offer a comprehensive on-demand label printing solution with a range of printer and ribbon options that are ideally suited for use with our CleanMark labels, notes and ribbons,” said Lane Kagey, vice president of operations at LGI.
“We even offer printer ribbons that withstand acetone wipings,” added Kent Bogert, vice president of sales and marketing at LGI. “What is nice about these printers is that they accommodate a wide range of label sizes and types, so our customers can easily label anything from a vial top, to slides, tubes and bottles.”
LGI’s label printers start at US$549 for standard printers and US$799 for CleanMark certified printers.
