Lee introduces small scale safety screens

However effective the main "in-line" filters are within an industrial or automotive system, there is always the possibility that small particles of contaminants could "beat the system" and thereby damage critical components, such as ABS braking systems.

It was with these risks in mind that Lee Products developed its range of Industrial Micro-hydraulic (IMH) safety screens; designed to provide an effective "last chance" filtration barrier to protect critical fluid control components against rogue contamination in high volume industrial and automotive applications; such as fuel, hydraulic and lubrication systems. The screens – which are constructed of stainless steel woven wire mesh, bonded together using a proprietary process for superior integrity and long-life – can be situated immediately next to critical components and require a minimal amount of space. Available in 5.5mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm diameters, and in three styles – insert, cartridge (with single layer screen), and high-pressure cartridge (with multilayer screen) for use on applications involving higher pressures – they can be supplied in 125 micron rating, with other ratings available on request.
