Key expands vibratory conveyors family
US-based Key Technology has expanded the Iso-Flo family of vibratory conveyors to include new systems that claim to offer improved dependability and enhanced sanitation.
The new stainless steel Iso-Flo vibratory conveyors are said to satisfy the most stringent sanitation demands in the industry, meeting 3A Dairy Sanitary Standards, USDA, HACCP, and FDA requirements, and exceeding NEMA 4X washdown specifications. They feature a patented removable gate that enables the sanitation crew to clean the area easily and thoroughly. New Iso-Flo shakers feature scalloped flat bars, sealed isolation springs and a smooth 2B surface finish that discourage bacteria growth. Iso-Flo also uses independent, frame-mounted drive and spring arm assemblies, which distribute energy equally to all parts of the conveyor bed in a controlled natural-frequency operation, thus minimising vibration being transferred to the structural support, reducing energy consumption, cutting the cost of installation, offering quieter operation and enabling the conveyor to be installed in the most beneficial position. Alongside the Iso-Flo conveyors, Key can offer the stainless steel Iso-Drive that resists bacterial growth and reduces corrosion, and its Integrated Tuning System, which self-monitors the conveyor's tuning, reports status, and alerts the processor in the event of process changes.
