Jenoptik’s new fab in Dresden is “ready for equipment”

Jenoptik and contractor Clean Room Consulting have provided a November update on it new state-of-the-art production facility for micro-optics and sensors

Jenoptik, a Germany-based photonics specialist, is due to start production in its new state-of-the-art micro-optics and sensors facility in January 2025, according to the press release.

Having topped out in September 2023, the interior work on the office and logistics areas is now in full swing and the production cleanrooms are “ready for equipment”.

Construction work on the Jenoptik Group’s new high-tech fab at Dresden Airport Park began in September 2022

CRC (Clean Room Consulting), a Germany-based engineering company contributed its Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) expertise to this project. 

The cleanroom company is experienced with high-tech project, being part of the Vishay wafer fab build in 2024.

“We are proud to contribute our #EPCM expertise to this major project,” the company stated.

The interior work on the office and logistics areas is in full swing

Exactly one year after the groundbreaking ceremony, Jenoptik celebrated the topping-out ceremony for its new high-tech factory on September 6, 2023.

The first half of 2024 saw the completion of the building sections and in the second half of 2024, the interior work was completed.
