Independent verification for AF International's biocide range
Independent tests on a biocide range used to clean phone receivers and computer keyboards has been found to reduce at least 99.9% of bacteria after seven days.
AF International’s Phone-Clene and Headset-Clene products are also claimed to create a bug-free surface lasting up to 24 hours, following independent verification by Rohm and Haas European Laboratories.
The products’ disinfectant properties were assessed in two stages; first the dry wipe and fluid were tested separately to ensure no bacteria growth was evident, and secondly the products' disinfectant properties were tested when the wipes were impregnated. The Phone-Clene and Headset-Clene wipes were found to eradicate an entire population of Staphylococcus aureus after two minutes, with no regrowth within 24 hours. This equates to a 5 log reduction and would conform to European standard EN1276. Also tested were the concentrates of multi-purpose cleaners Foamclene and Maxiclene.
Phone-Clene contains a strong bactericide and Headset-Clene offers complete sanitisation of the entire headset and ear or mouthpiece. Foamclene and Maxiclene are super strength multi-surface cleaners with non-flammable, anti-static properties.
