Improved energy efficiency for Veltia hand dryer

Published: 25-Jul-2008

Improvements have been made to the Veltia hand dryer, making it now 80% more energy efficient than traditional models.

According to its makers, the unit also offers antibacterial protective benefits with the addition of Microban technology, which has been built into every Veltia unit during manufacturing. Microban is a form of built-in antibacterial protection for solid products giving them an added level of protection against bacteria, mould and mildew that cause stains, odour and deterioration.

Unlike traditional models, the unit has no heating element. Instead hands are dried in 10-15 seconds by friction generated by the speed of air passing through holes within an ergonomically designed drying chamber. Any excess water from drying hands is collected in an internal drip tray rather than be spread over the surrounding area, helping to maintain cleaner facilities.

Unlike other energy efficient hand dryers the Veltia dries without the need to move hands in and out of the unit and any excess water from drying hands is collected in an internal drip tray rather than being spread over the surrounding area. Veltia dryers can also be fitted with a zero smell gel, which removes odours to create a cleaner, more pleasant environment.

The Veltia dryer is available in a variety of colours and finishes and has been installed at hundreds of sites from shopping centres to offices. The unit is designed in a variety of colours and finishes.
