Gore signs up Metron as distributor

US-based W. L. Gore & Associates, has signed a distribution agreement for its Gore-Tex cleanroom garments with Metron Technology covering Europe and southeast Asia.

Metron is a provider of outsourced marketing, sales service and support solutions to the semiconductor industry. Bill Hanna, Gore cleanroom garment business manager said, "We are pleased to be partnering with Metron Technology in expanding Gore-Tex cleanroom garments sales in the European and Asian markets. Metron has a history of proven success providing high-end cleanroom solutions to the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industries." Dennis Riccio, president and COO of Metron Technology stated, "Gore-Tex cleanroom garments are a strong addition to our fab solutions offering and complement our commitment to providing our customers with the highest quality cleanroom materials". Gore-Tex cleanroom garment fabric is said to be the highest performing material to offer breathable comfort and flexible fit. "Featuring 99.9999% filtration efficiency at 0.12 microns, the fabric provides a reliable contamination barrier while allowing the release of body heat and perspiration vapor", says the company. The garments come in 22 sizes and feature full zipper fronts, raglan sleeves, elastic waists and stretch fabric closures at collar and cuffs for ease of gowning and "unsurpassed environmental protection".
