It has been a golden start to Clean Room Construction’s 50th year in business with the news that the design and build specialist has won a multimillion-pound project to build a pioneering gene therapy facility in London.
Clean Room Construction (CRC) has been contracted to design and build a 1,200m2 cleanroom suite for London-based gene therapy company MeiraGTx. The facility, which is being created through the development of a lower and upper basement area within the central London building, is due to be completed in August.
The Kent-based cleanroom specialist has also been awarded a contract worth over £1.5million to design and build a 400m2 cleanroom facility to house a JEOL Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) in the Physics Department at Royal Holloway, University of London.
CRC has just completed the installation of state-of-the-art cleanroom facility worth a half a million pounds at Nottingham-based Plastique – Europe’s leading designer and manufacturer of plastic packaging. The 400m2 medical and pharmaceutical packaging facility will enable Plastique to expand its capabilities in this area.
Steve Lawton, CRC’s Managing Director, said: “As we celebrate our 50th year in business, our experience and expertise matter more than ever. Clients require more and more complex and critical cleanroom facilities and they know they can trust CRC to deliver first class solutions every time thanks to our unparalleled mix of experience and in-house expertise.”
