Freudenberg Filtration Technologies, a provider of solutions for air and liquid filtration, has introduced a suite of air filtration products.
The products include Fan Filter Units (FFUs), upgraded Bag-In/Bag-Out (BIBO) containment systems and specialised filters tailored for lithium-ion and lithium-iron-phosphate battery production environments.
The new suite of advanced air-filtration products are engineered for semiconductor, pharmaceutical and battery-manufacturing cleanrooms.
They deliver laminar airflow under HEPA or ULPA filtration regimes, with compliance to ISO Class standards.
The features provide energy-efficient EC motors that provide up to 35% lower power consumption than conventional units.
It also provides uniform airflow distribution, low vibration and acoustic emissions and built-in monitoring for differential pressure and filter lifetime.
Upgraded BIBO systems for safety
For facilities that handle hazardous dust, solvents or chemical exhausts, Freudenberg’s upgraded BIBO systems use EC blowers, modular stainless-steel housings and gas-tight, pressure-tested seals.
This setup lets operators change filters safely without exposure, while keeping airflow stable during the process.
The BIBO systems can hold HEPA/ULPA filters, activated carbon and other speciality chemical media.
These features make them well-suited for pharmaceutical cleanrooms, chemical-processing areas and battery-cell production lines where solvent vapours or harmful aerosols are present.
Tailored filtration for battery manufacturing
Lithium-ion and LFP battery production has unique demands, especially during electrode coating, dry-room handling and solvent use.
That’s why Freudenberg has developed filter media resistant to aggressive organic solvents such as N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP).
The new filters are designed to preserve mechanical strength, maintain particle-retention performance, and ensure stable airflow even under high humidity and solvent-vapour exposures.
The use of the new filters will allow Freudenberg to support increased battery-manufacturing capacity globally.
