Filtration innovation from Parker Hannifin

Parker Hannifin is now able to provide dual stage filtration from a single filter thanks to the design of its new BA-series.

The combination of coalescing and adsorption filtration provides air that is free from particulate, liquid droplets and hydrocarbons, making the BA-series ideal for a breathing air system or for food and packaging applications. By incorporating both filtration stages into one housing, the first coalescing stage will remove particulates and liquid droplets, while the second stage of activated carbon will remove hydrocarbon vapours from the compressed air supply. Like all coalescing and activated carbon filters, the system cannot remove toxic gases such as carbon monoxide. BA-series filters are said to be easier to install as there is only one filter, while maintenance kits are offered by Parker that contain one coalescing filter element and two adsorber filters, as well as replacement seals.
