Europlaz lays foundations for further expansion of its cleanroom facilities

Published: 11-Apr-2005

Steadily increasing demand for its services has led Europlaz to undertake a further expansion of its cleanroom facilities. Foundations for the new facility were laid in January and it is expected to be up and running in the summer. The newly designed area will be used mainly for the assembly and packaging of cleanroom products. When completed, the additional cleanroom will include subdivided work spaces, suitable for the manufacture of medical devices in a variety of classes. "One particular advantage of the new design layout is that customers can have the benefit of their own dedicated areas," ceo Eddie O 'Keeffe explained. "If requested products can be manufactured in a specifically isolated cleanroom space, separate from any other products." With the addition of this new cleanroom, Europlaz will have a total 12,000ft2 of cleanrooms offering independent aseptic areas, assembly and injection moulding operations carried out within class 10,000 cleanrooms, operating 24 hours a day.
