Esco unveils safer cabinets

Esco's latest safety cabinets are designed to protect laboratory personnel during the manipulation of hazardous materials such as infectious diseases.

The Labculture Plus Class II is an improved version of its flagship Labculture Class II Type A2 cabinet and has Isocide antimicrobial coating, ULPA filters, an angled front and a sliding sash. With improved microprocessor control and a larger LCD multi-language display, the reduced-height cabinet fits into labs with lower ceilings and runs at reduced noise levels.

The Infinity Class II cabinet, described as “the most advanced biological safety cabinet in the world”, has many of the above-mentioned features, as well as a motorised electrical sliding sash and a double fan system for added safety in the event of a fan failing. It also has an Esco Accuflow microprocessor-based motor speed controller and a swing-up, easy-to-clean aerosol-tight front window.
