Elemental Machines, a data-driven laboratory and manufacturing connectivity specialist, has launched an innovative product that enhances monitoring and communication in shared laboratory spaces, including cleanrooms.
This solution introduces an additional mode of communication within the lab environment, giving more granular control to people working in an already controlled environment.
Elemental Machines (EM) has been working for years to improve lab monitoring software.
In 2022, the US-based company partnered with Kanomax USA to bring together EM's lab monitoring software with Kanomax's precision measurement technology to incorporate real-time and historical operational data with Kanomax's Clean Room Monitoring System.
What is new with the cleanroom alerting and monitoring product
This new product introduces three features to the Elemental Machines’ Dashboard, specifically built with cleanrooms in mind: visual alert tiles, audible alert tones, and a view-only user role.
While these features can be used in any lab setting, these enhancements are particularly valuable in shared spaces where access to personal computers or phones may be limited. Labs can now add these alerting features to centrally located devices within the space, ensuring that critical information is always accessible.
The audible and visual alert options enable more immediate notifications of issues requiring attention within the lab.
When an alert is triggered, a flashing visual tile will appear on the screen
When an alert is triggered, a flashing visual tile will appear on the screen, signaling staff that immediate attention is needed. If the alert is not addressed, an audible tone will sound.
The view-only user role allows staff to quickly monitor the dashboard without needing to log into their personal accounts. The account can remain continuously logged in, offering an efficient way to stay informed without making changes or compromising security.
“This product launch represents our commitment to delivering solutions tailored to our customers’ unique challenges,” said Tim Golnik, Elemental Machines’ VP of Product. “By continuously innovating new monitoring solutions that are aligned with these evolving challenges, we ensure they have the tools they need to stay ahead in a constantly shifting landscape.”
