DuPont presents new protective suits

The new Tychem C2 and Tychem F2 suits from DuPont Personal Protection (DPP) being launched at the Safety & Health Expo, in Birmingham, UK, in May, combine lightness, flexibility and durability, with reliable chemical and biological protection.

With Type 3 protection (against pressurised liquid chemicals), Type 3B (against infectious agents), Type 4 (against liquid aerosols), Type 5 (against solid airborne chemical particles) and Type 6 (limited protection against liquid spray), the suits are suitable for use in many industries and applications where people may be exposed to oil, chemicals, biological agents and other hazardous substances.

Other brands in the DPP stable include Nomex, Kevlar and Tyvek. Of particular interest to cleanroom users are Tyvek Classic Plus suits, available with or without integral socks, which afford effective protection from liquid aerosols (Type 4) and chemicals in the form of solid airborne particles (Type 5), as well as limited protection from liquid stains (Type 6).
