Pharmaceutical cleanroom manufacturer, Germany-based Daldrop SBB, is building a new manufacturing facility at the L. Michael Treadwell Oswego County Industrial Park (OCIP) in the US.

Daldrop has been operating in the cleanroom sector for over 70 years, and its headline product is the SHELMEQ cleanroom systems for pharmaceutical production plants.

Benjamin Morrow, Syracuse Operations Manager for Daldrop has told CNYBJ that the firm plans to consolidate sites in Salina and DeWitt into the industrial park in Schroeppel, at the end of 2023. This is when the new facility is planned to be operational.

The new site is in Schroeppel, a town in Oswego County, New York. The new move is the company's biggest expansion outside of Germany, planned to host 40,000 sqft of manufacturing capabilities and will also adhere to LEED  (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) construction standards.

Various other associations have provided support to the project. Empire State Development (ESD) is offering a grant and an Excelsior jobs program incentive, Morrow said in a conversation with CNYBJ. Operation Oswego County and CenterState CEO have also provided support for the project.

“As a global leader in GMP Pharmaceutical cleanrooms for decades, I am very proud to bring manufacturing jobs to upstate New York. Soon Daldrop will be able to say, ‘Made in Germany and the United States,’ thanks to the investments and support from our local, regional and state partners,” said Mike Sullivan, President of Daldrop US Operations, in a news release.
