Daw Technologies recently announced that its European subsidiary has been awarded new contracts totalling approximately $1.7 million (€1.99 million). The bulk of these new contracts were secured through the recently opened London office, which is focusing largely on the non-semiconductor cleanroom market.

The largest of these new contracts is a $1.5 million (€1.76 million) contract for the supply and installation of an advanced research laboratory utilising the Daw integrated approach to provide a complete highly specialised ultra-clean environment.

Commenting on this contract award, Gary R. Matthews, Managing Director of Daw Technologies (Europe) Ltd. stated: "The award of this project is significant in that it is more technologically advanced than our typical semiconductor cleanroom project. The smaller contracts announced today are also significant in that they represent progress in our diversification efforts into biotechnology and other advanced research and industrial applications. We are very focused on growing and expanding our business into these other markets, and that is precisely why we chose to invest in our London office expansion."

Michael J. Shea, President of Daw Technologies, Inc stated: "While the semiconductor cleanroom market remains soft worldwide, the diversification efforts of the company's European subsidiary have begun to pay dividends. We will continue to aggressively pursue these efforts globally to help offset the cycles that are inherent in the semiconductor industry."
