Contec opens plant in the Phillipines for contamination control products

The manufacturer of and partner for contamination control products has opened a 50,000 sqft facility with fabric finishing, wipe and mop conversion, and cleanroom laundry capabilities

Contec has opened a new manufacturing plant in a Special Economic Zone in Laguna, Philippines.

The manufacturer of and partner for contamination control products Contec continues to expand its global footprint and this expansion is in addition to several investments made in the past two years.

“We are very pleased to announce the opening of a new location in the Philippines,” said Jack McBride, CEO of Contec. “This new facility allows us to expand our manufacturing capabilities in Asia and continue to serve the growing global demands of the cleanroom industry.”

The new facility is approximately 50,000 sqft and is operational on one shift, five days per week.

The Philippines plant is vertically integrated with fabric finishing, wipe and mop conversion, and cleanroom laundry capabilities. The facility also has warehousing for raw materials and finished goods.

“This new facility gives us an opportunity to increase our global manufacturing capacity and meet the needs of our global customers,” added Avi Lawrence, President of Contec. “Through our strategically situated manufacturing locations, Contec can remain a leader in contamination control and provide side-by-side support to both our current and prospective customers.”
